Judges Hill is a unique Austin neighborhood located at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and North Lamar Boulevard. Judges Hill is one of Austin’s oldest neighborhoods and was named for the attorneys and, of course, judges who were among the first residents in the late 1800s.
The neighborhood features several original estates that have been named historical landmarks, and the neighborhood itself has been classified as a historic district. New construction and refurbished condominium communities add to the neighborhood’s singular charm.
Judges Hill is convenient to several state offices in downtown Austin as well as the University of Texas. Across the street, residents can take a morning jog along the trails at Pease Park or watch their kids play on the huge playscape. Whole Foods is just down the road or residents can choose to dine at one of the spectacular restaurants nearby, like Wink and ALC Steaks. The historical feel and convenient location are what make Judges Hill an attractive downtown Austin neighborhood.
